I’ve been hinting with metallic in so many pieces lately, but this time I want to go all metallic. I’ve put on a gold base coat to start…I’m pumped to bling this puppy out.
I’ve been working on this for 20 minutes here and 20 minutes there during my lunch hours over the past couple of weeks. Today, I think it’s nearly complete. I’ve already put a gold base coat on my next piece so I must be ready to move on.
I got some time at lunch today to add some more color to the triptych. I can’t seem to get away from these blue gradiations, they just happen. Nonetheless I love where it is going. It’s been so fun to work on.
I’ve covered the triptych in shades of teal to start. I think some red accents would be nice with a gold rub and buff to make the texture pop out. I’ll have to stare at it a bit before I decide.
I felt the need to do a triptych so I picked up three 22×28 canvases this weekend. But having them all on the easel makes me second guess myself. It’s taller than me.
I’m going to need a wicked playlist to tackle this beast.
